Congregation Beth Elohim seeks an intern to help organize and digitize our Congregation’s library. The library contains approximately 5000 books, mostly on the subjects of Jewish history, literature, and religious texts. The intern will be responsible for organizing and
maintaining the order of the library, and converting our current card
system into a digital log of titles. The intern will also be
responsible for assessing books for possible damage and, pending
funding approval, preparing the library for renovation. This is a
part-time internship, and interns will be expected to work at least 10
hours a week, though we can be flexible on the weekly schedule. This
is a largely unsupervised project, so applicants must be responsible,
dilligent, and trustworthy. Students who wish to receive credit for
this internship must make arrangements through their school.
All interested students should send a cover letter and resume to Alix
Fellman at afellman <at> cbebk.org.
