METRO and the Brookyn College Library are co-sponsoring It’s all about the books!, a celebration of the book in all its glorious permutations—past, present, and future,” which will feature “presentations by pioneers in the field of publishing and book arts.”

The ”daylong” program runs from 9am – 2pm, which begs the questions of what constitutes a workday in the life of a book arts or publishing pioneer and what can we do as librarians to get those kind of hours. Also important: your 8 bucks gets you registration, breakfast and lunch.

It’s all about the books!
Date: Wednesday, June 6, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Brooklyn College Library
Fee: $15.00 ($8.00 for students) includes light breakfast and buffet lunch

And I’m sure that on mature reflection they would agree that it’s not all about the books; a wide variety of records formats are integral to the library and archival endeavor. And… you can find out more about those other formats at a new media preservation program that evening.
