Internship – Elementary School Library

Fall 2007 Internship Available-Public elementary school in East Village

Under the direction of a NYS-certified library media specialist, and in a
cheerful and lively atmosphere, the LMS student will have the opportunity to
participate in the various responsibilities and professional practices
associated with running a public elementary school library media program
staffed by one person. Tasks range from using the automated system for
circulation and processing new materials to collection development;
organization of resources; and helping to plan and teach grades PreK-5 in
tandem with NYC School Library Service’s “Information Fluency Continuum.” If
