I just found the Press Release describing the new site design. One of the big points the press release makes is that it is now easy for department administrators to update content on the site, thanks to the Content Management System (CMS).
I’m wondering if this means that SILS now has more control over the content on their section of the site, and if so, would there still be a need for two SILS sites–the mother Pratt.edu site, plus the separate ~infosils/sils.html site. If the CMS works, perhaps we might consider integrating the two sites.

I was on a tour of SVA (School of Visual Arts) with my class last week, as our assignment we had to check out their website. They talked about how they recently got control over the Content Management Systems. This is what they’ve done with theirs- I think it’s quite impressive! http://www.schoolofvisualarts.edu/sr/index.jsp?sid0=258
