I used to work for a backroom bookseller in Chinatown. We’d scour Abe for books that people didn’t know were valuable, then we’d buy them and sell them again on Abe. What I’m wondering is, now that LibraryThing exists (Abe owns 40%), are there sellers stalking your personal bookshelves? Because my old boss would be all over this site.
Amazon sees $$ too. There are rumors that they have just invested in Shelfari, a LibraryThing knockoff. How many others are there? Delicious Monster, What’s on my bookshelf, What should I read next?, Listal…
